All The Hues and Other Poems | PRIDE 2024: Guilty As Sin

James Sentiba

"All The Hues and Other Poems" by James Sentiba Book Cover.

I am guilty. I think many of us are. But my only crime is deciding to live out my truth and be vocal about it.

The following are a selected handful of poems written by yours, truly. This mini-collection was born out of defiance, melancholy, and pleasure. My relationship with Pride and queerness has grown in such a way that the more I mature, the less fucks I give about respectability. Me and my people have already been classed as deviants, I have nothing left to prove.

Happy Pride to all the LGBTQIA+ community, without whom life would not be worth living. I am proud to be a part of a community as accepting and diverse as this one. No matter where we are in the world, we are all deserving of love and justice.
